Certificate by: The University of Delhi (DU) shall award ‘Certificate of Completion’ jointly signed by the
official representative of the COL-DU and the training partner, i.e., RKFMA.
Course objectives: The Certificate Course in Graphic Designing, DTP & Video Editing is offered by the Delhi University in association with the RKFMA. The course is designed to help the students is gaining the fundamental skills needed to be a graphic designer or a video editor. Students successfully completing the Delhi University's Graphic Design Course shall be able to specialize with a set of transferable formal and conceptual tools for “making and communicating” in the field of graphic design. This core skill set will equip learners for formal studies in graphic design, and a starting point for further work in interface design.
Course Contents / Topics of Discussion/ Softwares training on:
- Illustrator: Vector graphics are composed of dots / lines. During printing it performs best. Through Illustrator we create/draw vector graphics. Illustrator is helpful for making high quality creative for Print & Web media
- In-Design: This is particularly helpful in creating works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, presentations, books and ebooks.
- Premiere Pro: It is a most commonly used and professionally useful in video editing tasks necessary for producing broadcast-quality, high-definition video. It can be used to import video, audio and graphics, and is used to create new, edited versions of video which can be exported to the medium and format necessary for distribution.
Minimum required eligibility:
10+2 pass candidates (from any stream or subjects) or equivalent can apply to join this course in Graphic Designing, DTP & Video Editing by COL-DU. Candidates appearing or appeared in qualifying exams (i.e.10+2) may also apply.
Students
pursuing degree or diploma courses from any colleges, institutes, departments or other universities or institutes may also apply. Recent graduates from various degree courses may also be considered for taking admission. Applicants
may be subject to screening for these Certificate Courses in DU after 12th offered through offline and online classes.
Class Mode: Classes shall be offered both through offline and online modes. 2-3 classes per week of around 1 hour to 1.5 hours per class shall be conducted on weekely basis. Weekend class schedules or after-regular college hours class schedules may also be offered for the convenience of students already pursuing degree courses subject to availability of batches.
Course Duration: Overall 38 hours course duration including mix of tutorials, practical, field visits, assignments, online videos, live classes, discussions, seminars, etc
usually covered within a period of 5 months (or lesser duration/ short term certificate course) varying on the number of classes conducted per week.
Assistance for Placement and Internships: Students shall be kept informed on available work-opportunities whether in form of auditions, jobs, internships, freelancing projects or assignments etc from time to time.
